These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Focus Troll extension, the Focus Troll website, and related paid plan, reminder, and support workflows. By installing, accessing, or using Focus Troll, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Focus Troll.
Focus Troll is a desktop Chrome-based productivity tool designed to add friction to distracting websites by enforcing the site rules you choose. Depending on the configuration you select, Focus Troll may log you out of watched sites, clear related storage, or apply other supported focus features.
Focus Troll currently requires an account to use the extension. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in methods and for any activity that occurs through your account.
You agree to use Focus Troll only for lawful purposes and only in ways that do not interfere with the security, reliability, or intended operation of the extension, website, or related services. You may not use Focus Troll to violate the rights of others or to attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts.
Focus Troll requests browser and site permissions so it can provide the user-facing features you enable. Focus Troll requests site access for the specific sites you choose to watch. If you do not grant the requested permission for a site, Focus Troll may be unable to enforce the selected rule for that site.
Focus Troll offers Basic and paid Pro access. Paid plans may include recurring monthly subscriptions and one-time lifetime purchases. Pricing and plan details are shown in the product or at checkout.
Monthly subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. If you cancel a monthly subscription, access may continue through the end of the current billing period. Billing, payment processing, and subscription management are handled by Stripe and may also be subject to Stripe's terms and policies.
By creating a Focus Troll account or requesting a website install reminder, you agree that we may send you account-related emails, reminder emails, product updates, launch announcements, feature releases, and promotional messages related to Focus Troll. These messages are currently enabled by default for those flows. You can opt out where applicable or by using unsubscribe links included in emails.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or other messages, you allow us to review and use that feedback to operate, improve, and support Focus Troll without any obligation to compensate you.
Focus Troll is a productivity tool. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical, psychological, or behavioral health condition.
Focus Troll, including its code, branding, graphics, content, and design, is owned by or licensed to its operator and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except as allowed by law, you may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from Focus Troll without prior written permission.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Focus Troll at any time. We may also suspend or terminate access if we believe you are misusing the product or violating these Terms. You may stop using Focus Troll at any time by uninstalling the extension and discontinuing use of the website.
Focus Troll is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with every website, browser, account system, or third-party service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Focus Troll and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, productivity, profits, revenue, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of Focus Troll.
These Terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
